In response to the war in Ukraine, United Way Worldwide launched the United for Ukraine Fund in March 2022, raising $4.2M in the first six months to advance relief efforts, $5,000 of which was contributed by Capital Region donors.
Of every dollar raised, 95 cents goes to on-the-ground partners, while 5 cents helps United Way vet recipients track and measure impact.
