Help Us Bring Danny Dollar Academy to More Kids
We've reached the final installment of our four-part series on the Danny Dollar Academy (DDA)! In Part 1 we learned about how children's author and motivational speaker Ty Allan Jackson's book Danny Dollar Millionaire Extraordinaire - The Lemonade Escapade inspired the DDA. Part 2 highlighted why financial literacy programs are an essential tool for helping children and their families achieve financial stability. In last week's Part 3, we heard directly from local kids about why they find the story of Danny Dollar so impactful. Now we need your help to bring the Danny Dollar Academy to as many Capital Region children as possible.
Danny Dollar is Growing
As part of the deployment of Danny Dollar Academy, United Way of the Greater Capital Region sought proven partners that have demonstrated success using research-based programming to yield positive results for children. In January 2022, UWGCR partnered with Ty Allan Jackson and Girls Inc. of the Greater Capital Region to bring the program to our community.
This year we added Boys & Girls Clubs of the Capital Area, Creative Connections Clubhouse, Girls Inc. of the Greater Capital Region, and Young Future as new partners, which enabled us to more than double in size and teach over 150 kids about saving, investing, and entrepreneurship. With your help, we'll bring this program to children in all eight counties served by United Way of the Greater Capital Region.
HELP US REACH OUR GOAL!
We need your support to bring the Danny Dollar Academy to even more children in the Capital Region!
We're so close to reaching our goal of raising $30,000. Please help us get over the finish line so we can offer this financial literacy program to children in all eight counties we serve.
Your generosity will enable us to build a community where all can thrive, no matter what. Thank you for being HERE FOR GOOD!
