Ann-Marie Berdar, the co-founder of BARE Blends, is not your typical entrepreneur. After earning a degree in Cell Molecular Biology and Chemistry she quickly realized that a career in a lab or clinical setting wasn’t her calling, despite having completed an internship at the Albert Einstein Institute and pursuing a Master of Nutrition with a focus on Biochemistry and Public Health. So, she decided to pivot and become a direct link between science-based nutrition theory and the consumer by creating products that facilitate healthy habits.

Frank Koncewicz, Operations Manager, spent 37 years at UPS serving in many capacities, including business development, labor relations and negotiations, and running operations throughout the Northeast. He is deeply committed to United Way’s mission, having coordinated and administered volunteer efforts, fundraisers, community projects meals on wheels, and yearly fund drives in the Capital Region. He previously served on United Way of the Greater Capital Region’s Board of Directors from 2014-2020.

Eric LaCoppola, President of Environment One Corporation has over 20 years of experience in technical and operational roles in the manufacturing sector has been instrumental in managing the day-to-day operations in Environment One’s Sewer Systems Business. Since being named president in 2013, he’s led and grown high-quality operations in the sector. He previously served on United Way of the Greater Capital Region’s Board of Directors from 2014-2020.

Men's Basketball Head Coach, Siena College
Carmen Maciareiello, Men’s Basketball Head Coach, has taken an active approach in giving back to the Capital Region since being named head coach in 2019. Under his leadership, the Siena men’s basketball program has made it a priority to volunteer and assist young people in the Capital Region. He also helped create Coaches 4 Change an organization that engages, educates, empowers, and evolves the collegiate student-athlete on the issues of social injustice, systemic racism, and the power of voting in the endless pursuit of equality
